How do I use a snom VoIP desk phone?

You use a snom desk phone exactly as you would use any other desk phone. You make and receive calls in the same way you are used to, the call just connects over the internet instead of a phone line. For instructions on how to perform specific tasks with your desk phone, see the manufacturer's instructions. There's a link in the Resources box at the top of this article.

Your desk phone interacts with One Net Business

There are several features of your snom desk phone that interact directly with One Net Business.

  • You can use Feature Access Codes (FACs) to do tasks including pulling a call onto your desk phone, parking a call or switching call forwarding on and off.
  • Some buttons of your desk phone interact with specific One Net Business services.
  • Your desk phone has direct access to your One Net Business call history and your organisation's phone book, so you always see the latest information.
  • Your administrator can personalise the programmable buttons of your desk phone using One Net Manager.

Who is the snom 715 for?

The snom 715 is an entry-level phone suitable for basic users. This desk phone is also ideal for use as an unattended phone, for example on a front desk or in a warehouse. For phones more suited to office use and specialist roles such as receptionists or call centre agents, see the snom D725 and snom D765.
