One Net deployment options

The BYOL (Bring Your Own LAN) service lets you use your current LAN solution to set up One Net Business.

How does it work?

Using our technical prerequisites, you can check if your current switches are compatible with One Net Business and make the necessary changes to the configuration, if required.

To learn more about our technical prerequisites, see the BYOL Technical Prerequisites document in the Resources box at the top-right of this article.

Then our installation engineers connect the One Net router and IP phones to your LAN. Thanks to this deployment option, you don't need to install any additional switches.

What do I need?

We organise the installation in two visits at your site:

  1. During the first visit, we check if your site is ready for BYOL.
  2. During the second visit, our installation engineer meets your IT representative to connect our equipment with your current LAN switches and make sure that the setup is stable.
Note

To order the BYOL service, you must meet the technical prerequisites specified in the BYOL Technical Prerequisites document.

Note

Vodafone is not responsible for configuring or supporting your own network and will only support the data router we provide.

What do I do when contacted by the One Net support team?

When you are contacted by the One Net support team, you will need to:

  • Make sure you meet all the technical prerequisites mentioned in the BYOL Technical Prerequisites document.
  • Plug the phone directly to the One Net router. Use the power supply we provided.
  • Produce a trace from your LAN (for example, a Wireshark trace) if the One Net support team wants to check the issue.
  • Share the configuration for LAN ports connected to the One Net router or phone.
