Cisco SPA500DS attendant console - a contact's name says Not Supported

What's the problem?

A contact's name on my attendant console shows as Not Supported.

Why does this happen?

You see the Not Supported message for one of the following reasons:

  • The user you want to monitor is using an incompatible device.
  • The user you want to monitor changed their desk phone in the past and their previous desk phone is still in the system.

What to do

Check what model of desk phone the user you want to monitor has.

  • If it’s a Cisco phone, ask your administrator to update that user's account in One Net Feature Management Portal.
  • If it's not a Cisco phone:
    1. The user you want to monitor needs to replace their incompatible device with a Cisco phone.
    2. Once the phone is replaced, ask your administrator to update that user's account in One Net Feature Management Portal.
