Using location dialling codes

About location dialling codes

Enterprise administrators set up location dialling codes to identify sites.

Viewing location dialling codes

Location dialling codes are displayed in the phone book in One Net Manager.

To view location dialling codes

  1. Select Extras > Telefonbuch.

    Location dialling codes are displayed before users' extensions in the Kurzwahl column.

Using location dialling codes

You can use location dialling codes to call users on different sites.

To make a call using a location dialling code

  1. Dial the location dialling code of the user's site.
  2. Dial the user's extension.

Note

Dialling numbers without the area code can cause unexpected behaviour

If you dial a number that starts with a location dialling code, the system looks for a corresponding extension in that location. This can cause unexpected behaviour while dialling numbers without the area code.

To avoid this, you can configure a dial plan for external calls.
