About DECT devices

DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) is a modern standard for short-range cordless communications.

DECT allows you to use a cordless phone that doesn't rely on your Wi‑Fi network. DECT phones connect to a DECT base station, which then connects to your telephone and internet connection.

The DECT technology gives you:

  • Reliable wireless connection
  • Range of up to 30 metres indoors and up to 300 metres outdoors
  • High flexibility in terms of scaling
  • Better sound quality than other cordless communication standards
  • Automatic handover between multiple base stations
