Installing and logging in to Yealink® CP920 conference phone

What do I need to install my Yealink conference phone?

To install your conference phone, you need a network cable, a broadband internet connection and the Yealink manufacturer's instructions. You might also need a power adapter. The instructions and the power adapter are supplied with your conference phone.

Do I need a power adapter?

The Yealink CP920 conference phone supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). If your organisation does not have PoE facilities, use the supplied power adapter.

PoE 802.3af (Class 0)

Note

Benefits of PoE

In shared spaces like conference rooms, power sockets are often in short supply. Using PoE with your conference phone frees up your power sockets, and ensures your conference phone isn't unplugged accidentally.

What do I need to log in to a conference phone?

You must know the login details of the conference phone. These are not the same as your One Net Business login details. If you don't have the conference phone login details, ask your administrator.

How do I install and log in to a conference phone?

To install a conference phone

  1. Assemble the phone as shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. If you are using the power adapter, plug it in and connect it to the conference phone.
  3. Power up the phone and connect its internet port to your broadband internet connection.

The screen shows a series of messages as the phone goes through its start-up actions. Do not press any keys during this process.

To log in to a conference phone

When you see a window with User Name and Password:

  1. Enter your conference phone username and press OK.
  2. Enter your conference phone password and press OK.

If you successfully logged in to the phone, the name of the registered user appears on the screen. A screen message will tell you if you were unsuccessful.

When your conference phone is registered it downloads a copy of your organisation's phone book. Once the download is complete, the conference phone is ready to use.

Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for advice on changing the phone's time and other settings.
